About Reincarnation Association

Reincarnation Association is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, with the registration number District Shahdara/Society/568/2015-16. The organization has wide-spread interventions in women empowerment, health & hygiene, water & sanitation, skills development and child education.

Established by a handful of individuals as an independent, non-profit, and non-governmental organization (NGO), Reincarnation Association is now a leading organization in the northern region that supports the cause of women, children and youth in India. We develop, pilot and improve programs, to achieve greater scale by leveraging existing on-ground networks, to run joint advocacy programs to raise the profile and resources, to make funding proposals, and to work together on long-term sustainability, particularly with governments and policy makers.

Reincarnation Association has wide-spread interventions in women empowerment, health & hygiene, water & sanitation, skills development and child education.  The organization also works to promote entrepreneurship for employment and self-employment particularly addressing the needs of youth and women.

Access to water, sanitation and hygiene are the basic needs of human beings.  The lack of safe drinking water is a major public health issue, and water-borne diseases can be life-threatening.  Unfortunately, over one-third of the world’s population does not have access to adequate sanitation and millions of deaths occur due to lack of safe drinking-water. Realizing the fact that size-able and scale-able difference can only be made through partnership with like-minded organizations, Reincarnation Association has networked with several national and international bodies in fulfilling the dream of making provision of safe drinking water, adequate sanitation, and hygiene for the needy people in both rural and urban areas.

Inadequate child education in India is a matter of serious concern.  Percentage of children that never start school is 4% and those who do not complete primary schools are nearly 58%. And 90% children don’t complete schools at all. The fact that only 10% of our children go on to college both saddens and angers us.

Having done exhaustive research and careful consideration of the factors responsible for the state of child education, Reincarnation Association has found out that issues of ‘social’ distance – arising out of caste, class and gender differences deny children equal opportunities, child labor in some parts of the country and resistance to sending girls to school are of real concerns. School dropout cases have been high. Lack of adequate water and sanitation facilities in the school adds to the woes of children, particularly the adolescent girls. Inadequate infrastructure and quality of education is another prohibitive issue of the present day education system.

With the support of Government, NGOs and the Corporate, Reincarnation Association has taken up the huge task of addressing schooling issues for rural population.  The organization has helped several schools in improving their infrastructure, building water and sanitation facilities, providing modern teaching aids for quality education, and upgrading the teaching skills of the teachers. We have conducted study tours for school children to the places of relevance including visits to various museums, monuments, historical places in the national capital New Delhi.

Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country. Those with better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of world of work. Reincarnation Association works for the promotion of self-employment and wage employment through well-defined educational and training interventions. We have played active roles in promotion of entrepreneurship and social development and has successfully organized large number of training programs, seminars, workshops and on the job training sessions for the rural community.  Organization has trained hundreds of women for entrepreneurship to help them run their own businesses and making them self – reliant, linking their Self Help Groups (SHGs) to the banks.

To pursue interests in food processing sector, Reincarnation Association has established a ‘Food Processing & Training Centre’ at Ghaziabad.  Women & youngsters have undergone job oriented trainings at this center and established themselves in the job markets or started their own businesses.
