Reincarnation Association took an initiative to empower women through Vocational Training Centre aimed at empowering the underprivileged women with tailoring, cutting and embroidery skills. The organization also realized that merely imparting literacy would not be sufficient to uplift the status. Thus, it is important to sharpen the skills through training programmes. This makes them to stand on their feet and provide support for their families. Reincarnation Association had designed the programme in such a way to enhance the quality of life of women through enhancing their knowledge and skills.

In every project of NGO, human resource is the deciding factor and highly experienced team of professional makes organization distinct. Reincarnation Association always intend to hire trained and people with a knack of working with the community, preferably from the community itself who would take tremendous interest and teach with their full dedication.

Survey based research and one to one interaction is part of the organization strategy. Reincarnation Association has organized discussion sessions with target audience like women during the interaction. The discussions with women revealed that they are also interested in learning some skills like stitching, tailoring, etc., to supplement their household income. Backed by their astonishing reaction, Reincarnation Association proposed to set up vocational training centers on a large but scattered scale so as to cover greater number of women folk. NGO is expecting that in a short duration, women will pick up good level of proficiency in basic cutting and stitching of clothes.

The vocational training is imparted according to the pre-designed syllabus approved by various approving authorities. The pattern adopted, will constitute of theoretical classes as well as practical orientation, including the stages of practicing cloth cutting and sewing. Skills development area included tailoring, knitting, block printing, incense stick rolling, candle making, jute and newspaper bags, dress designing, and food processing. After successful completion of the course, the women were encouraged to get bank loans to start their own business i.e., to start small tailoring unit so that they could get employment and supplement their family income.

Reincarnation Association has also proposed to initiate the computer education through Vocational Training to increase skill sustaining capacities of rural women empowering them to economic self-reliance and improved livelihoods.
